WAYWARD has teamed up with Redress, a Hong Kong based charity with a mission to promote environmental sustainability in fashion.
The Get Redressed Challenge 2014 is a campaign to promote the "redress it, don't bin it" concept. Redress aims to inform consumers about sustainable wardrobe management and the positive impact we can have through clothing choices, swapping, DIY, and restyling. The mission is to promote sustainability in the fashion industry by reducing textile waste, pollution, water and energy consumption.
Redress reached out to us to join the August theme: Sustainable Fashion Brands. We want to show consumers that there are plenty of sustainable and ethical fashion choices available!
WAYWARD's commitment to working locally with small US factories allows us to build real relationships with our manufacturers. We care about the people who produce our designs, and we know that collaborating ultimately means success for all of us. Our natural materials are precious, we throw away nothing and work hard to find ways to put "scrap" material to great use.
