With summer in the city upon us, it's important to pick our outfits carefully, as each day it seems to just get hotter. With the majority of their summer spent fighting the city heat, this week our interns Betsy, Catherine, and Emma share their go-to outfits for this summer season.
Check out the FLASH SALE on the entire jewelry collection, and stay tuned for OOTDs from the rest of our intern team this week!
In today's post, Catherine is showing off her 70's revival OOTD, inspired by the 70's trend that we're seeing everywhere lately.
Catherine: In an attempt to deal with the summer heat, on my top half I am wearing this cream colored chiffon top from Zara. I find this top to be quite versatile and it is definitely a go-to item for me -- normally the shirt falls above my knees but in this case I’ve decided to fashion it into a tie to lay neatly on my side. On my bottom half, reminiscent of the revival of 70s fashion that seemed to shake the fashion industry this year, I am wearing my favorite flare jeans from Topshop. Despite not being as cool as a pair of shorts would be, I feel like they create a good balance with the lightweight material I have on my top half.
As for my accessories, I have on an assortment of WAYWARD leather bangles which I find to be insanely comfortable and easy to wear (no clunky metal!). My sunglasses are purchased inexpensively from Urban Outfitters because for me, I always find myself either breaking or loosing my poor sunnies! The bag I’m carrying is a WAYWARD leather tote in metallic copper -- which I think (if I do say so myself!) really brings out the earthy tones of the bangles and really ties this outfit together. And for my shoes -- they were made in Spain and purchased this past spring whilst I was on a school trip to Europe and they are possibly the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned!
